Starting Monday, April 12th, the 7th Ward Neighborhood Center will host youth programs three days a week.  Monday afternoons from 5:00 to 6:00 will be Kids’ Yoga.  Open to kids ages 5 to 13 and taught by an experienced volunteer teacher, the yoga class will be full of fun, stretching, and movement!

On Tuesday afternoons from 5:00 to 6:30, we invite kids to join the Kids’ Computer Club where Center staff and community volunteers will lead youth in fun and safe computer activities.

Friday afternoons are for young people interested in outdoor gardening fun!  All ages are invited to our backyard garden from 3:30 to 5:00 to help out and to learn growing techniques…and of course, to partake in delicious fresh-grown food!

For more information on the youth program or to volunteer to help, please contact Laura at 504-373-5117.

Greetings and welcome to the 7th Ward Neighborhood Center’s new wordpress blog!  Stay tuned for updates on our events and programs.  Please stop by the Center to see what we do and how you can be a part of our 7th Ward community-building initiatives.
